Rick Warren Once Said,

Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.

Sometimes, it seems that we have already done so much things and we are already running out of the energy, spark, or drive to continue doing so. After all, we have already done so much things right? I am a 23-year-old lady who sometimes feel like a 80-year old hunchback woman from all the things I’ve gone through. Sometimes, it just seems easier (and almost justifiable) to give up. But, my dear friend, rest not on your laurels. Look at your past as a motivation; not an excuse to stop. The things we have already done does not compensate other things that still needs to be done. It does not justify letting your existence be hidden in the shadows. The world is so huge and there are so much things that can be done. The past seems to have been a long winding road but brace yourself because there’s still a long way ahead.  The things you have overcome does not mean you have done everything you could in this world. Neither does it mean you are out of wits to contribute anything else. On contrary, it is merely a glimpse of all the other things you can do. The tip of an iceberg containing other things that you are capable of. Value the accomplishments of your past as much as the promise of the future. Always remember that each step you  take, each morning you wake up, each task you complete accrue to the person you’ll see in the mirror the next day. Don’t be discouraged by your failures; Don’t be complacent because of your achievements. Every minute of your life has a purpose in this world Every action makes a difference to others. You may not be where you used to be but neither are you where you ought to be.
