Last Song Syndrome

It’s been a while since I’ve actually thought about songs. Recently, It’s mostly been, “ooh. This seems good to listen to.” “Oooh. I like this.” “Nice. This is so meee!” it’s mostly been I, I, I.. And how music has been showcasing a certain person’s character. It might have been a Genx or GenY thing wherein it’s all individualism and being unique.

But, surprise surprise! Seems like here’s a song that brings people together – just like how it used to be. (Kudos!) From a catchy tunes to the simple lyrics that echoes the thoughts of numerous people who wants to take a leap of faith and takes “crazy” chances. The girl/boy-next door have been making covers of this song and putting it up on Youtube. Celebrities all over the world have been captivated by this resonating tune that they’ve made a parody of it. Even politicians like Mitt Romney and Barrack Obama weren’t missed by this songs’ meme. I’m actually quite proud that the music video is open-minded enough to include a tinge of “happy-ness” in it.

Here’s a supercut version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” to prove my point. Enjoy! 🙂
